This is the card in which the couple announce the day, the time and the place of the wedding, and also the families addresses and the address of the new house of the married couple.
THE INVITATION CARD
This is a smaller card and is attached to the wedding card. Inside you will find the names of the couple and, in the centre of it, a phrase for the invitation at the reception. Then the time and the place of the ceremony. Usually at the bottom of the card, the R.S.V.P. acronym is written. This is a contracted form of the French sentence "Repondez S'il vous Plaît" (you are pleased to give an answer), and it is intended for asking the guests their intention in taking part or not at the reception.
